Jdn Consulting takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains which personal data we collect through janiedenaeyer.be, why we do so and which rights you have.

1 Who is responsible?

The controller of the processing is Jdn Consulting, sole proprietorship of Janie De Naeyer, De Romboutweg 134, 2930 Brasschaat, Belgium, company number BE 0749.493.957. Reachable at hello@janiedenaeyer.be.

2 Which data do we collect?

Depending on how you use the site, we collect:

  • Newsletter: your first name and email address when you sign up through the form on the home page (via Kit).
  • Waitlists: your email address when you sign up for a programme or course (via Kit).
  • Contact: your name, email address and the content of your message when you email us about talks, collaborations or partnerships.
  • Purchases: programmes and courses are sold through external platforms (TrainHeroic and Kit). They process your payment and account data under their own privacy policy.
  • Admin account: if you have access to the admin area, we process your email address for login (through our secured backend).

3 Why do we process this data?

  • To send you the newsletter you signed up for (consent).
  • To let you know when a waitlisted product goes live (consent).
  • To answer your message and prepare quotes or bookings (pre-contractual steps).
  • To perform agreements and invoice them (performance of contract and legal obligation).
  • To keep the website safe and working properly (legitimate interest).

4 Who do we share data with?

We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers we need to run the site and our communication:

  • Kit (ConvertKit) — newsletter and waitlists.
  • TrainHeroic — delivery of training programmes.
  • Our hosting and backend provider — technical operation of the website.
  • Accountant and authorities — only as far as legally required (invoicing, VAT).

5 Retention periods

Newsletter and waitlist data are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact details and correspondence are kept for a maximum of 2 years after the last contact, unless an agreement follows from it. Invoicing and accounting data are kept for 7 years, as required by law.

6 Your rights

You have the right to access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw your consent for the newsletter at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email. For other questions, email hello@janiedenaeyer.be.

7 Complaints

Not happy with how we handle your data? Contact us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
